Two of our engineers got the opportunity to travel to the UK for an assignment at Jaguar Land Rover.
Finally, it’s time! After getting the call on Friday, are we, Fredrik (to the left) and Victor (to the right) finally on a plane towards England and more specifically the TATA office in Warwick. It all happened so fast, which make it harder to grasp but they needed urgent help with some CATIA work on a new car for Jaguar Land Rover and we were both up for the challenge!
After getting greeted in the lobby, setting up all the logistics and finding our place amongst everyone, we were now ready to start working. We got assignments within crash structure in the front of the car. It was both a challenge to learn their work methodology and finding suitable solutions in these small and cramped places.
The original plan was for us to stay one week but due to the amount of work, the trip got extended one more week, which meant we got to explore Warwickshire during the weekend.
This was truly one amazing experience. Getting the opportunity to work for such an iconic brand as Jaguar and learning about a different work methodology, just enriches our work here in Sweden at Escenda. This opportunity is one of the great perks that come when working at a global company such as TATA. If this were to happen again, we would both say yes without any hesitation.
